Saturday night fun

Saturday we will be celebrating a non traditional Easter dinner with some of oour favorite people!!! We will be starting with Shrimp N Potato Spinach Tostados .... the tostados can be made ahead of time so you can spend the time enjoying your company rather then cooking all day!  These seem a bit more complicated but the flavors that are in it should make it worth while!! The dishes were a hit!

okay so I chickened out and couldn't try the shrimp however everyone said they were delicious with a kick of heat that sneaks up on you.  This app was super easy to make and very quick, you can control the heat as well depending on your guests.  Although I'm not a seafood person I would make this again for anyone that did! overall for this is a 4

The main attraction....pork-oulet was an absolute hit!!! This meaty dish delivered with flavour and with the chicken, bacon and beef its a hearty dinner too.  "two thumbs up" says Sarah and mom and dad approved as well! This was easy to make and very satisfying..overall rating would be a 5 and you are definitely going to want to try this!

 

back at it Wednesday

Hello everyone...I am back...and what a yummy recipe to return with!  Wednesday night we will be (hopefully if everyone is well)...sending off the in-laws with bellies full.  They will be going on a much deserved and needed vacation so I will be feeding them some Louisiana BBQ Shrimp ...with some cumin and garlic, thyme, cayenne and so many more flavours going on in this dish I might even try a shrimp (I don't do seafood unless I'm pregnant :) ) I will be following the shrimp with some Pork-Oulet..I meal sure to please my soon to be father in-law! This mighty dish has bacon, pork butt, and chicken all rolled into a delicious stew like mix!!! I am so excited to be back at Guy's recipes...days are getting a little busier but I will try my hardest to keep on top of this! Have a good one! Until Wednesday night......
