Weird Wednesday was a little too weird

This is the first recipe so far that I have made that I could not eat :( This was definitely a weird pasta sauce and I think the spices were just a little too much for me.  I give this recipe a 2...can't say I will be making this any time soon but I do have the rest of the family and there reviews...
Sarah (sister -in-law) - The garlic bread was amazing I was looking forward to it for weeks and give it a 5.
Matt - The pasta dish was not to my liking but I am sure buddy the elf would have loved it. I give it 1

The overall senses was that the cloves and or nutmeg were too over powering

Mom Skoberg- the garlic bread was excellent, I would give it a 5 and the pasta I would give a 2
Dad Skoberg - I didnt dislike the pasta it just wasn't my favorite, I give it a 2 and the garlic bread a 5.

"Weird" Wednesday with the In-Laws

I Finally have the pleasure of cooking Guy style for my In-laws to be!!!! I'm keeping it fairly simple and starting with yet again jimmy's favorite Garlic Bread as it has been requested and it is absolutely yummy, if you have not made it then you are definitely missing out and need to get this recipe!! Then for the main attraction .... Weird Spaghetti.  I'm always looking for people to cook for especially since there are a lot of seafood recipes so if you are a fan ..... let me know and you can be my next dinner guests :)

Saturday nights reviews

As I wait for others to tell me what they thought on my food from Saturday night Matt would like to post his reviews and hopefully others will soon!
The Rojo Onion rings - These should be in every restaurant in North America, these little morsels have brought onion rings to a new level ... I will never eat another plain onion ring again! I give them a 5.
Buffalo Balls and Chicken Avocado egg rolls are a great appetizer when you are watching the game or playing some cards.  Packed with flavor they punch you in your mouth.  Thank god for something different.  I give both a 5.

Baltimore Beef Bad Boys

The boys are going to be sorry that they missed this dish ... The meat was marinating since Friday night and I cooked it for a sunday lunch so the flavor was delicious and I cooked it medium rare on the bbq.  A meat slicer is definitely the way to go with this dish as my slices were too thick but it was still a yummy sandwich.  If you like horseradish then you will enjoy the mayo that is made for this dish and the rye bread (I chose dark) was a good bread to use.  Overall I would give this a 3.5!  Matt got to enjoy this sandwich as well...Matt gives it a 4

Oh Boyz

Where do I begin ....I was hoping to get the guys to give me ratings and comments on the dishes however they were really in no condition by the end in fact they didn't even make it through all the dishes :(   I got the Buffalo Balls done which were very flavorful and hot, the blue cheese was a great added touch and I took the sauce and poured it over all the balls and tossed, it was easier to serve! I would probably make them again, it was a lot of work for a quick little bite but worth it!  I give them a 3.5.
Next was the Rojo Onion Rings ... I soaked the rings in buttermilk for about 30 minutes then dredged them in flour, dipped them in a hot sauce mixture and finished them in panko bread crumbs! They were crispy with the right amount of heat ... with little prep work I would give these a 4.5

And the last thing I was able to make was the Chicken Avocado egg rolls... chicken, onions, carrots and cabbage with a few spices and fresh garlic and ginger rolled up with fresh avocado slices.  These were pretty good, easy to make but I would have maybe liked a bit more flavor and crunch inside.  I would give these a 3.8.

Although the photos and presentation don't look very appealing, the food overall was pretty good!  Unfortunately I was unable to make the cilantro wrapped shrimp with spicy pickled pineapple sauce or the star of the show .. baltimore beef bad boy sandwiches and I wasn't able to get anyones ratings and thoughts on my food but it was fun and the sandwiches will be made today.  A big thanks to Kelly who entertained my son!!

C'mon Saturday!!

Well as much prep work as I can possibly do is just about finished!!! Chili smells amazing, just needs a couple secret ingredients to finish it off....Buffalo Balls look interesting but very yummy :) The meat for my bad boy sandwiches looks devine and is happily marinating until tomorrow.  I'm not sure who is more excited and I can't wait to try everything!  Hope you guys work up an appetite tomorrow on the course :)
